Brekina Makes HO Scale models in plastic

Would you like to have a Brekina Limited Edition Model made for your Event or Advertising for your Company?

History:  Promotional Advertising is a tool many Companies use to make customers aware of new products. In the 50's and 60's it was common for a German Firm to have a Promotional model made to commemorate 20, 30 ,40  years in Business or what ever they where commemorating. They often had a model made of their delivery vehicles with their "Livery" or Company markings and Colors. Being Germany the Vehicles where often VW Transporters Mostly the models were given away to the best customers. VW  Transporter promotional models have been being made for more than 50 years. Now very popular for collectors the models fetch a hefty price. Brekina has been making these "Sondermodelle" or Special made models since the mid 80's. Usually made in Limited Quantities of 500 the models later become hard to find for collectors. In the USA the Brekina Sondermodelle are especially hard to find because the models find homes with the European Collectors before ever having a chance to make it to the USA. The VW Classic models are the only Sondermodelle that I know of made for a US Event.

How to get your model made: Step 1 Pick a Base model.

Step 2 Pick the accessories. Accessories add to the price.

Step 3: Color (or Colors) of Body. To pick a color please use the German Aircooled web site as reference. View the Brekina models and pick an existing color of a model. Brekina does not make any new colors. If you do not see the color you are wishing for ,please let me know, I will help you find one. To let me know which color you pick please give the part number of the model. >>example: The Blue like on 31005<<

Step 4: Graphics, Brekina can print excellent graphics on your Model. Basically what ever you can dream up they can print it on your model. Of Course the more elaborate the printing the higher the printing cost will be. Submit graphic designs ,logos, text with a description of where you would like it placed on the vehicle. Looking at examples of existing models is a good way of see what you can do. Send via email or snail mail

Step 5: Minimum order is 500. Please allow 12 weeks for the time the order is Confirmed by Brekina. You will have an opportunity to approve the price estimate given by Brekina .Adjustments and fine details can be made to change the model or price before production begins. No changes can be made after production has started. All communication to the Brekina Factory is done by us <GERMAN AIRCOOLED>Total price depends on Base model ,accessories and Graphics. From my experience the total for 500 models will be about $ 3,400 (that's $ 6.80 each) If the models are sold for $ 15 ea. you will collect $ 7,500. That's $ 4,100 profit. the price may come in less or more. You (The one ordering the model) have exclusive design rights on your model. Brekina will not make any more to sale. You will most likely be contacted by collectors in Germany asking  you to sell your model to them.

What we get out of the deal. German Aircooled will expect to have the option to trade or purchase (at cost) your Sondermodelle. (10 to 20 models) For the purpose of further trade or sale on the GERMAN AIRCOOLED web site or at VW Events.
